Landscape Designer

We are seeking a team member to join our group and assist in the design and technical development of projects. This role involves collaborating with a diverse group of multi-disciplinary professionals within a progressive national company. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, a self-starter, innovative, creative, comfortable receiving and providing feedback, embraces teamwork and wants to make a positive impact.

The ideal candidate has a broad interest in the varied aspects of the practice as well as an interest or background in ecological design. The ability to integrate natural plant communities within the built environment will be key to the success of this role. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: - Assist landscape architecture team in design, drawing production and project management support. - Assist landscape architecture team with complex projects from initial concept through to completion. - Work effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams. - Prepare effective planting designs and construction documents with minimal oversight and assistance. - Develop project specific construction details with an understanding of project budget and constructability. - Perform site analysis, product and plant research and sourcing. - Integrate sustainable design and construction methodologies into our work. - Maintain and assist in improving existing company standards, processes and systems. - Contribute to proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts.

Required

Qualifications: - Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture or related field - 2+ years of professional experience - Prior experience with construction documentation, technical details and specifications, and overall project delivery coordination. Desirable Skills: - Knowledge of Central/Eastern Washington and Oregon planting design. - Knowledge of irrigation design. - Knowledge of on-site safe practices, construction methodologies, observation, and preparing field reports.
