We are looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is excited about the incredible opportunity that cloud computing represents, and is passionate about delivering high quality services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities can shift fast. As a member of our team, you'll work alongside engineers and leaders, refine product requirements with product and program managers, define architecture, and be a leader in the implementation and launch of software.

All team members actively participate in product definition, technical architecture review, iterative development, code review, and operations. Along with this, you'll have the opportunity to interact with enterprise customers to ensure their needs are met -- clear, professional communication with teammates and customers is an important part of the job.

responsibilities - We are seeking a builder and inventor, someone who combines deep systems expertise with the ability to think in decades, communicate a compelling technical vision, and bring others along on the journey. - You thrive in ambiguity, you are energized by constraints that demand novel solutions, and you have a track record of delivering systems that operate at scale with high durability and low operational burden. - You are equally comfortable whiteboarding a ten-year architecture as you are diving into a subtle distributed systems bug that only manifests under production load. - 10+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services - Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline - Experience architecting systems with rigorous durability, availability, and correctness requirements
