Journeyperson Electrician

<p><strong>Role&nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>As a Journeyperson&nbsp;Electrician at Rising Edge Group, you will report directly to the Site Supervisor and play a crucial role in&nbsp;maintaining, upgrading, and installing equipment within electrical substations ranging from 13.8kV to 500 kV. Your responsibilities will encompass reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical codes, and ensuring compliance through inspections of electrical systems, components, and equipment.

This senior position also entails mentoring and training Electrician Apprentices to foster their development in electrical work.&nbsp;</em></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Perform installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of various electrical systems, failing equipment, transformers, circuit breakers, switches, switchgears, and instrument transformers across different voltage levels (500kV to 13.8kV).&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Assist&nbsp;with the installation of structural steel and buried utilities.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Operate construction equipment, including skid steers, mini hoes, manlifts, and&nbsp;zoombooms.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Adhere to and promote Rising Edge Group’s Health and Safety Manual alongside industry safety regulations.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Provide guidance and mentorship to Electrician Apprentices,&nbsp;assisting&nbsp;them in technical issue resolution and safe work practices.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct inspections and testing of high voltage electrical equipment to ensure compliance with maintenance standards and documentation.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Lead the planning and installation of ground grids, power system assemblies, and wiring.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Execute substation equipment maintenance aligned with industry and company standards.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain familiarity with hazards associated with working near energized equipment and ensure safe work practices are prioritized.&nbsp;</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Location &amp; Travel Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Rising Edge High Voltage Solutions is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with active projects&nbsp;located&nbsp;throughout the United States (From Virginia to New Mexico).
