<h3><strong>Position Summary</strong></h3><p>The <strong>Senior Technical Program Manager</strong> leads major technology-focused capital construction programs across the District, integrating IT, Facilities, and low-voltage systems into cohesive, high-performance environments. This role combines technical leadership, construction coordination, and multi-discipline stakeholder management to deliver network infrastructure, audiovisual, and physical security systems within scope, on schedule, and on budget.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, College Project Teams (CPTs), District IT, and systems integrators to ensure compliant design, smooth implementation, and complete project turnover.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li> Lead and manage <strong>15–20 concurrent technology projects</strong>, each potentially up to <strong>$100M</strong>, including data infrastructure, AV, access control, and surveillance systems. </li><li> Facilitate design coordination with architects, low-voltage consultants, and MEP engineers to ensure proper integration of IT and facilities systems. </li><li> Provide technical leadership and oversight for <strong>physical security system deployments</strong> (e.g., Lenel, Milestone, Axis). </li><li> Oversee <strong>audiovisual system deployments</strong> in classrooms, lecture halls, auditoriums, and athletic facilities ensuring ADA compliance and pedagogical effectiveness. </li><li> Review and approve technical documentation including shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for compliance and constructability. </li><li> Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning in coordination with construction management and cost estimating teams. </li><li> Ensure orderly commissioning, training, and hand-off of systems with documentation that aligns with District IT governance. </li><li> Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status reports to PMO leadership and stakeholders. </li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><h3><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li> <strong>10+ years</strong> of experience managing large-scale IT and low-voltage construction programs. </li><li> Minimum of <strong>5 years in higher education or public sector</strong> project environments. </li><li> Demonstrated experience with managing consultants, engineers, and systems integrators across project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Lease-Leaseback). </li><li> Proven expertise delivering <strong>AV and physical security systems</strong> from design through commissioning. </li><li> Strong working knowledge of <strong>Division 27 &amp; 28 specifications</strong>. </li><li> Experience with budgeting, scoping, and procurement of network, AV, and security systems. </li><li> Proficiency with construction coordination tools (e.g., BIM/Revit, Bluebeam). </li></ul><p></p><h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li> <strong>RCDD</strong> certification (Registered Communication Distribution Designer). </li><li> Project management certification (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent). </li><li> Certifications such as <strong>CTS, CCIE, ASIS</strong>. </li><li> Experience with California Community College facilities and public funding processes. </li><li> Familiarity with TIA/EIA cabling standards. </li><li> Experience with <strong>Cloud-based facilities platforms</strong> and high-speed network deployment (Cisco, Aruba). </li><li> Knowledge of advanced network solutions such as <strong>air-blown fiber technologies</strong>. </li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>PM2CM offers a highly competitive benefits package</strong>, including <strong>100% employer-paid health insurance</strong>, a <strong>3% 401(k) match</strong>, <strong>profit-sharing opportunities</strong>, and a strong commitment to <strong>career growth and professional development</strong>.</p>
