Position Summary The Interim, Senior Art Director is responsible for concepting the visual direction and execution of 360° creative for e.l.f. Cosmetics and e.l.f. SKIN, ensuring brand consistency, elevated design, and strong storytelling across connected commerce (360° visual touchpoints and channels spanning digital, social, retail and more).
This role bridges concept and execution—reporting into the Senior Creative Directors, mentoring designers, and partnering with cross-functional teams to bring compelling campaigns to life in a fast-paced, high-volume environment based on marketing and business objectives.

- 8+ years of experience in creative or digital design roles within fast-paced, high-volume environments (beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries a plus).
- 4+ years of direct experience in art direction, campaign work, visual merchandising, and eCommerce or performance-driven creative. 2+ years of management experience.
- Knowledge of computer programs including: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator, Figma, digital animation software.
- Familiarity in emerging platforms in AI and how they supplement and enhance human creativity.
- Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills across digital formats (email, paid media, social, site).
- Meet stringent deadlines, quickly managing changing priorities
- Ability to anticipate workload and communicate proactively to Project Manager
- Ability to balance business objectives with creative vision and brand integrity.

- Lead art direction and design execution for e.l.f. Cosmetics and SKIN across 360° channels including visual merchandising, email, paid media, social, elfcosmetics.com, retailer eComm, site enhancements.
- Partner with the Senior Creative Directors to concept and execute campaigns that align with brand strategy, audience insights, and business goals.
- Translate creative briefs, audience insights, and product storytelling into compelling, brand-right visual systems and experiences.
- Own visual consistency, typography, layout, and design quality across varying platforms and formats.
- Demonstrate strengths in creative thinking and provide clear art direction and feedback to designers, supporting their growth while ensuring high creative standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, eCommerce, UX, Social, Visual Merchandising, Integrated Marketing, and external partners from concept through execution.
- Present creative work internally, articulating design rationale and addressing feedback with solution-oriented thinking.
- Design with a mobile-first, digital-first mindset, ensuring assets are optimized for performance and channel best practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining timelines and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Stay current on beauty, skincare, clean beauty, fashion, design, and social trends—translating them into relevant, effective creative.
