You’ll collaborate closely with a cutting edge AI Research team and your work will help raise the ceiling of what’s possible for designers and lower the floor of who can design.

- Lead and grow a diverse team of engineers building and advancing Figma’s AI capabilities across core products
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, AI Research, and Data Science to define strategy and drive a clear roadmap for AI-powered experiences
- Hire, mentor, and retain exceptional engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and thoughtful risk-taking
- Drive 0→1 innovation by identifying opportunities and applying emerging AI technologies to meaningfully improve the user experience
- Champion Figma’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by actively contributing to equitable hiring practices, team development, and cross-company initiatives.
- 3+ years of experience hiring, leading, and developing high-performing engineering teams
- Proven experience building and scaling AI-powered product capabilities, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Demonstrated track record of driving 0→1 product development, with the ability to translate ambiguous ideas into impactful, production-ready features
- Strong ability to build and operate fast-moving teams that balance innovation with execution
- Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies and their application to user-facing products
- Knowledge and experience in generative AI, RAG, the fine-tuning process and its application to creative products
- Experience digging into product analytics and data yourself to help create new opportunities or investment areas for your team
