The Naval Power Engineering Execution Team is seeking a highly motivated SM-3 Software, Algorithms, and Simulations, Integrated Product Team Lead (SAS IPTL) for the Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) portfolio within the Shipboard Missiles Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).

The SAS IPT is a large, multi-disciplined organization working throughout the product lifecycle of all three SM-3 variants and is involved in nearly every phase of the product lifecycle and program evolution. This position reports to the Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) and several SM-3 Program Managers. This IPT lead will be responsible for driving consistent execution across a broad portfolio of programs and projects, managing competing priorities, and aligning resources to meet program expectations.

In addition, it is expected this person will work across all Raytheon functional organizations to staff the IPT and ensure the timely start-up and delivery of products in accordance with the contract(s). This is an onsite position located in Tucson, AZ What You Will Do Drive technical, schedule, and cost performance while delivering a product which is compliant with the contract.

This involves developing solutions which are the best fit for the overall program performance, supportability and long-term sustainment. Communicate status, issues and resolutions to leadership on matters that significantly impact program success. Ensuring cost and schedule for on time delivery of software to meet the mission, contractual obligations, and customer expectations.

Interacting daily with other cross-discipline teams to meet program goals and objectives while driving on-time and on-budget performance. Frequent interaction with the customer community, the program office, functional and technical leaders. Early identification of risks and opportunities, along with mitigation and capture plans.

Partnering with the leads including chief engineers and technical leads to provide the most cost-effective technical solutions. Establish open and effective communication with team members, ensuring team cross training, mentoring and growth opportunities. Attending regular customer meetings and ensuring a positive customer relationship.

Supporting strategic efforts to identify and advocate for future growth of system operability. Regular review of program status including tracking and review by both Engineering and Program Leadership. Responsibility for development of SAS IPT relevant proposals and support to all program proposal efforts, including negotiations and reviews for any new scope and any potential contract modifications to ensure success and growth for the business.

Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Experience managing project or program cost, schedule and risk or experience with Earned Value Management, Risk & Opportunity, IMS or IMP tools.

Earned Value Management System Certification or ability to get it within 12 months of starting in the position. Experience presenting program and technical issues to senior stakeholders. Experience in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering and/or System Integration.

Experience supporting production programs. Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction. Self-starter - proactive in determining goals and objectives and pursuing the necessary course of action. Experience with proposal or capture efforts.

Experience in preparing customer and/or management level briefings. Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle. Experience working with the MDA customer to propose and execute development and transition-to-production programs.

Experience working on a development program using agile/scrum and in DevSecOps/Automation.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
