Job Summary:

The ABC Scripted Content and Hulu Originals Business Affairs team is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide administrative and project support to three Vice Presidents within the Business Affairs team, while demonstrating an ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Solid time management and multi-tasking skills are essential. The position requires an individual who is highly organized, exhibits excellent judgment, is a self-starter and has an ability to work with a high level of detail, while interfacing with a variety of creative clients and high-level executives (internally and externally). A high degree of confidentiality and discretion are expected regarding all matters and documents. The ideal candidate is professional, adaptable, and collaborative, with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and a willingness to take initiative. Candidates should be prepared to collaborate and multi-task to cover additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to three Vice Presidents, including but not limited to: manage calendars, meetings, and conference calls; book/confirm travel; manage expense reports; and order department supplies.
  • Accurately maintain and administer legal contract filing systems and assist in monitoring dates of legal significance (e.g., options and expirations).
  • Manage and direct phone calls and written correspondence, tracking and facilitating the execution of legal documents by established deadlines.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of legal documents and redlines, drafting routine letters, contracts, and other correspondence.
  • Coordinate with accounting and contract administration to track payment milestones and ensure timely payments.
  • Support the deal-making process through proactive completion of ad hoc projects, such as precedent research and Excel-based chart creation.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of administrative assistant experience in a high-volume entertainment desk at a studio, network, production company, talent agency, or law firm.
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • High level of integrity, discretion and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals.
  • Must be able to complete a high volume of tasks and projects quickly with little guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround.
  • An interest in learning the business/legal side of television/entertainment.
Required Education:
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $54,000.00 to $72,300.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
