Job Summary:
The Claims Examiner is an early-career professional who supports Disney’s Corporate Risk Management organization by administering workers’ compensation claims in a way that protects the brand while enabling world-class storytelling and guest experiences. In this role, you will independently manage a portfolio of occupational injury and illness claims, applying sound judgment and problem-solving skills to deliver fair, timely, and compliant outcomes for Cast Members and the company.
Project Hire Assignment: This position is a temporary Project Hire assignment expected to last approximately six (6) months. Employment is intended to support a specific business need for a limited duration and there is no guarantee of extension, conversion, or placement into a regular full-time position at the conclusion of the assignment.
Responsibilities:
As a Claims Examiner, you will handle workers’ compensation claims from initial investigation through resolution, ensuring benefits are administered in accordance with California Labor Code and internal guidelines while supporting Disney’s commitment to a safe, innovative, and collaborative workplace. This intermediate-level role requires you to analyze information, recommend solutions with moderate guidance, and work independently while partnering across teams—helping safeguard the company’s interests and supporting injured Cast Members in their recovery.
The hiring range for this position in California is $72,000 to $96,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
