Full job description

Job Description:

Responsible for leading a team of analysts in the design, implementation, support, and testing of multiple Epic applications. This position provides guidance and acts as a resource for analysts, project managers, and consultants. This role develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all relevant parties and may lead cross-functional and multi-disciplinary project teams. In addition, this position oversees application team management to deliver IT services and assesses user needs to provide proactive support. Additionally, this role manages the release process for applications, negotiates resolution of conflicting requirements, and sets performance objectives. Responsibilities for this role include hiring and evaluating direct reports, addressing performance issues, guiding incident resolution, and developing metrics for continuous improvement.

  • Manages teams to perform required support activities.
  • Leads complex projects with minimal supervision, including initiatives for scope, resourcing, and timeline requirements.
  • Identifies and engages subject matter experts across departments to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Facilitates operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, and implementing productivity standards.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, capturing business and technical requirements.
  • Assesses workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes, and develops future workflows related to new solutions or functionality.
  • Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies, initiates escalation procedures, and provides recommendations for resolution.
  • Participates in multiple cross-functional projects, utilizing project planning and coordination methodologies, tools, and lean methodologies.
  • Provides guidance and acts as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants.

Education:
  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]
Work Experience:
  • 3+ years experience with emr system application implementation [Required]
  • 3+ years management experience [Required]
  • 3+ years of clinical or technical background [Required]
Field of Study:
  • in Healthcare, Informatics, Computer Science or Business administration
Licenses and Certifications:
  • EPIC Credential (EPIC CRED) [Required]
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) [Preferred]
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) [Preferred]
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) [Preferred]

  • Work with stakeholders and QA personnel to ensure software operates as designed before production deployment [Required]
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors, assisting in monitoring and providing status updates on their work [Required]
  • Maintain ongoing personal contact with customers, key stakeholders, and leadership, participating in meetings and committees as assigned [Required]
  • Complete customer services in accordance with agreed standards and within budget [Required]
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers to progress services and facilitate efficient delivery and support of systems [Required]
  • Support in developing staff to increase the quality of customer service and support [Required]
  • Provide project management for assigned projects [Required]
  • Oversee customer support requests and delivery [Required]
  • Analyze incident data for trends to improve the product [Required]
  • Assist in the documentation and prioritization of end user requests [Required]
  • Provide technical expertise and support to external stakeholders and internal resources as needed [Required]
  • Experience engaging & working with hospital or organizations leadership [Required]
  • Microsoft Office suite experience; proficient in PowerPoint presentations [Required]
