Full job description

In addition, the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing and managing patients in the clinic following established standards and practices.

- You'll comply with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and policies.

- You'll perform a complete physical exam, obtain complete medical history and records findings. You will also orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures and interprets and integrates data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan.

- You will administer medications and injections in compliance with state law and clinic guidelines. Sutures minor lacerations.

- You will instruct patient/family regarding medications and treatments.

- You will have the opportunity to educate patients regarding health and illness prevention.

- You will recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.

- You get to collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients, provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits. You also will maintain and review patient records, charts and other pertinent information. In addition, you will posts tests and examination results and triage patient telephone calls and provides consultation.

- Successful Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.

- Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus two years of Nurse Practitioner experience.

- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and regulations to give and evaluate patient care.

- Knowledge of how to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.

- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.

- Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.

- Skill in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.

- Ability to navigate through electronic medical records- EPIC experience is preferred but not required

- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.

- Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.

For patient care-related roles, the position may also require standing for long periods and the ability to lift or assist patients, medical equipment, or supplies - generally up to 25-50 pounds, as needed to support safe and effective care.
