We're looking for an experienced developer like you with the skills needed to develop software and systems from vision to production ready. As a software engineer at Booz Allen, you will support the Joint Staff by designing, maintaining, and modernizing mission critical enterprise software applications used across the doctrine, education, terminology, and training communities.

You will provide software expertise essential to sustaining and enhancing tools including the Joint Electronic Library (JEL), Joint Doctrine Development Tool (JDDT), Universal Joint Task List Tool (UTDT), Joint Publication Management Tool (JPMT), Joint Terminology Master Database (JTMD), Joint Accreditation Management Information System (JAMIS), and associated Application Program Interfaces (APIs).

You will work to ensure secure, reliable, RMF compliant application performance on DoD hosting environments such as cNIPRNet and SIPRNet while supporting modernization initiatives aligned with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), data exchange requirements, government approved AI-enabled efficiencies, and mission driven feature enhancements.

This role is more than just coding. As a senior full stack developer, you'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements.

You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have: Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise applications, databases, APIs, or DoD tools Experience with modern programming languages, scripting tools, and database structures Experience supporting system deployments, version release management, and technical documentation Ability to operate within classified environments and comply with all handling restrictions for classified information Top Secret clearance Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience in software engineering or cybersecurity or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering and 5+ years of experience in software engineering or cybersecurity DoDM 8140.03 Defense Cyber Work Force Work Role 621-Intermediate Software Developer Certification Nice If You Have: Experience with JDEIS systems including JEL, JEL+, SIPR, JDDT, UTDT, JPMT, JTMD, or JAMIS Experience supporting "Authorization to Operate" processes, Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) workflows, or cybersecurity remediation efforts Experience implementing or supporting Zero Trust Architecture requirements Knowledge of DoD enterprise system integration DoD CIO approved cyber related academic Certificate Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Top Secret clearance is required.

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
