Remarkable ways you will be making a difference:
- Perform all daily, weekly and monthly duties as per the Housekeeping Cleaning standard operating procedures
- Performs weekend duties as assigned: such as laundry, cleaning and stocking
- Ensure all buildings are maintained in such a manner as to provide the cleanest environment as possible in which residents may live
- Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas
What you need to be considered:
- No formal education required
- Three years of experience in housekeeping in a business or office setting with a minimum of two years’ experience in housekeeping at the same facility preferred
- Ability to follow and execute specific oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to routinely lift 10 to 60 pounds from floor level to overhead in height
- Must have the ability to maneuver 20 to 100 pounds vertically
- Must have the ability to perform daily tasks by bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pulling and pushing with wrist, arm, shoulder and back movements
- Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

Damar is currently seeking a Housekeeper to be provide consistent application of the highest health standards, ensuring that all residents reside in a safe, clean and healthy environment and that the building and equipment are maintained in such a manner as to comply with the State Board of Health’s rules and regulations, to ensure the health and safety of residents and employees.
