2nd shift- Mon - Fri 3 PM - 11 PM + overtime (2 hours added on per day, sometimes Saturdays)
Responsible for assembling Original Equipment (OE) electronic components by interpreting blueprints and utilizing appropriate tools and equipment. This role includes performing quality control inspections to ensure all products meet required specifications and standards. Additional responsibilities include preparing work by gathering necessary materials, adjusting components to meet precise specifications, and ensuring equipment is operating correctly.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential. A high level of attention to detail is required to support accuracy in assembly processes and quality assurance. Workers are expected to cross-train across multiple workstations, beginning with an initial observation period.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support operational objectives.
- Preparation: Interpret parts lists, blueprints, and assembly instructions to identify and gather required components, tools, and materials.
- Assembly: Position, align, and secure components using hand tools, power tools, and/or machinery in accordance with established specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test components and finished products to verify compliance with specifications, ensuring proper fit, function, and overall quality.
- 5S / Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper care of tools and equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Identify assembly issues and take corrective action, including adjusting components or escalating concerns to a supervisor as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to support a safe working environment.
The OE Electronics Department consists of 24 individual workstations, each equipped with specific work instructions and daily production orders. Depending on the workstation, operators may be required to program completed OE electronic units prior to labeling and packaging for shipment. In other cases, units proceed directly from assembly to labeling and packaging without the need for programming.
This structured workflow promotes efficiency, consistency, and adherence to quality standards across the department.
Stand up forklift, staple gun, utility knives, RF scanner computer/software, printers, and pallet jack.
Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment that may be noisy and involves frequent forklift traffic. Workers are expected to collaborate effectively with team members to maintain production flow and ensure output meets established pace requirements throughout the shift.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance including working overtime as required
