Responsibilities: Develop and enforce EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, federal regulations. Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws.
Support return-to-work programs and accommodations for injured employees. Maintain first aid supplies and ensure readiness for emergencies. Supply first aid training for specific employees.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Coordinate safety training programs for employees and management. Monitor environmental impact and ensure proper waste management, emissions control, and resource conservation.
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation. Provide immediate first aid and emergency response to injured employees on-site.
Assess injury severity and determine appropriate next steps, including medical referral if necessary. Facilitate workers' compensation claims process, ensuring timely reporting and proper documentation.
Stay current with industry regulations and best practices and communicate updates to relevant teams. Promote a safety-first culture through engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Compassionate and supportive approach to injured employees. Organizational skills to manage documentation and claims Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
Proven experience in EHS management, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or corporate environment. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
Experience in injury response, safety, or related fields preferred. Knowledge of workers' compensation procedures and regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
