The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for all timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll tax-related activities including customer service support.
- Atlanta, GA
- Collaborates with internal colleagues to resolve customer inquiries
- Provides administrative support with case inquiries and follow up
- Resolves low complexity, high volume tasks related to workflow, as assigned
- Communicates internally with colleagues via client cases and email
- Ability to navigate within Salesforce to document customer inquiries and resolution
- Processes various data entry related tasks within the Payroll Tax organization such as payments, reports, check requests, registrations, and filings
- General education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training preferred
- Typically 1+ years
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
- Fundamental Payroll Certificate preferred
- Minimal
- Overtime may be required as projects dictate primarily during reporting months. Use of headset to communicate is required. Noise level in the environment is usually moderate.

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $24.81 to $37.21. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company's discretion.
The candidate's final salary offer will be based on the candidate's skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate's compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet's corporate bonus plan.
