ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Mechanic works with various departments across the manufacturing environment to plan, schedule, and perform mechanical equipment maintenance, reducing delays, costs, and breakdowns.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Responsible for the maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Maintains all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion.
- Interprets mechanical prints, drawings, and technical data to conduct maintenance of machinery.
- Assists engineering and production departments in the development and execution of ideas to improve products, machinery, and methods.
- Responsible for timely communicating and coordinating plant machinery needs and requirements with supervisory personnel.
- Provides input on preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Assist electricians and engineers on routine tasks as needed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
