Job Summary

Are you an experienced Construction Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the heart of Southern California? Our Construction Management team is seeking an Office Engineer to work on dynamic transportation projects across the Long Beach Area. If you have a passion for ensuring quality and safety in construction engineering, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities & Qualifications What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with our Resident Engineer on daily tasks, ensuring smooth project operations.
  • Enforce construction safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Review and understand contract documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Assist in documenting pay quantities and developing the Final Estimate.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and specifications, and document monthly progress payments.
  • Draft and track Contract Change Orders and ensure accurate payment tracking.
  • Manage material inspections, certifications, and project acceptance documentation.
  • Organize project files according to Caltrans requirements and manage project submittals, RFIs, and correspondence.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and construction closeout documents.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; an Engineer in Training Certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration or inspection of bridge and roadway construction projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience working with contractors and sub-consultants.
  • OSHA Safety Training Certification or willingness to complete it within 3 months of hire.
  • Commitment to innovation, integrity, and collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team environment.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
