Full job description

About the Role:

To support the company's engagement with suppliers in any capacity. In partnership with the business owners, the Sr. Supplier Manager will ensure that best practices established by the procurement organization are followed and executed with any supplier engagement that includes but is not limited to the following: sourcing a supplier for new or expanded capabilities, performing supplier business reviews, running RFP's or RFI's, selecting a supplier from an RFP, contract negotiations and contracting, contract renewals, supplier performance resolution, and the like.

  • Lead supplier engagement activities that include: sourcing a supplier for new or expanded capabilities, performing supplier business reviews, running RFP’s or RFI’s, selecting a supplier from a RFP, contract negotiations and contracting, contract renewals, supplier performance resolution, and the like to best in class processes.
  • Partner with business owners to ensure their suppliers are aligned with their strategic goals and strategy.
  • Oversee the contract renewal process to ensure that the business’ contracts are properly reviewed, and any appropriate actions are taken proactively before the renewal period.
  • Plan for annual and other periodic reviews with business owners on their supplier engagement needs. Prepare an annual review and then meet regularly as needed to ensure alignment with business owner and any potential supplier performance issues requiring resolution.
  • Coordinate quarterly business reviews with top suppliers (highest spend, business critical, highly visible, etc.) for any business unit being supported.
  • Responsible for proactively managing stakeholders and demonstrating stakeholder management skills that include: proactive communication, timely updates, prioritization of time aligned with business needs, accomplished project management ownership, etc.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or Supply Chain (preferred)
  • MBA (preferred)
  • Experience

  • 4-7 years — of demonstrated experience in supplier management with increasing levels of responsibilities across all indirect categories of spend. (Required)
  • Skills

  • Understanding of contracting and the contracting elements as well as contract negotiations.
  • Analytical and excel analysis experience. Building tables as well as pivot tables for baseline comparisons of data and analysis.
  • Experience with project management and demonstrated project management skills.
  • Experience with stakeholder management.
  • Travel Requirements

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.

Primary Location: Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s).

The pay range for this role is $61,100.00 - $115,000.00.
