The Senior Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic business partner to Corporate IT, Purchasing, and HR leadership teams, driving talent strategies that enable business objectives and organizational performance. This role provides leadership across the full employee lifecycle while supporting a global workforce and partnering closely with Centers of Excellence to deliver enterprise HR initiatives.
The position plays a key role in organizational design, succession planning, leadership development, employee engagement, workforce planning, and change management, ensuring alignment between people strategies and business priorities.
- Strategic HR partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to the purchasing and IT leadership, providing guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, and change management.
- Lead global HR initiatives for purchasing and IT: Oversee implementation of the Talent Initiative/Talent Review process, Performance Planning Process, Merit & AIP planning, and Engagement Survey action items & survey administration.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: collaborate with talent acquisition to attract and retain top engineering talent. Support workforce planning efforts to ensure the right skills and capabilities are in place to meet future needs in alignment with the engineering strategy around best cost country.
- Data driven HR: leverage HR analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and measure effectiveness of HR programs within the functions.
- Career development framework and tools: support the design and implementation of career ladders and competency models tailored to purchasing and IT roles, enabling clear growth paths, skill development and succession planning.
- Coach leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, conflict resolution, talent decisions, and organizational development strategies.
- Manage HR team members: lead and develop HR professionals. Providing coaching, direction, and feedback to ensure consistent delivery of high impact HR support across the organization.
- Participate in corporate Global HR projects and teams as identified
- Ensure implementation of Company policies and standardized processes
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or related field required;
- 7+ plus years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions
- Knowledgeable in US employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, and training.
- Strong emphasis on HR systems reporting; emphasis on SAP, Success Factors
- Ability to collaborate and with other functions within Human Resources
- Ability to work with Senior Leaders on critical people related issues, exerting influence and knowledge to assist with appropriate decision making
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with all functions and levels across the organization
- Good interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner.
- Excellent problem solving skills, including ability to identify and resolve issues and challenges.
- Ability to handle pressure in a multi-faceted and deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required.
