Education: High school
Our housekeeping staff is responsible for cleaning assigned areas of the facility. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and cleans offices, suites, general areas, bathrooms, locker rooms, seats, corridors and concourses. Performs routine day-to-day cleaning and assigned cleaning projects in the building to help provide a clean and safe environment for our customers, patrons, and employees.
- Sweeps, mops, or vacuums floors, corridors, halls, and stairwells.
- Cleans bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, floors, walls, mirrors, etc.
- Restocks sanitary supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soaps
- Cleans other assigned areas such as offices, locker rooms, suites, and sport areas, AstroTurf carpets, and hockey glass and dasher boards
- Does project cleaning, such as washing windows, stripping and waxing floors, and shampooing carpets and runners
- Removes trash, debris, and refuse. Takes trash materials to the proper location and disposes of properly
- Sweeps sidewalks, curbs, and parking areas. Removes trash from these areas and disposes of properly
- Attends training to remain informed of safety regulations and cleaning techniques
- Maintains a positive and responsive attitude
- Maintains open communication with supervisor at all times
- Uses standard cleaning tools such as brooms, mops, and wipers. Uses vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaning machines
- Performs other related duties as required or requested
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess the ability to be courteous, diplomatic and professional at all times
- Must be able to work extended hours due to event needs
- Must be able to read and interpret written material
Work Environment & Physical Demands.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work on irregular work surfaces, such as stages, ramps, lifts, ice, dirt, or other surfaces.
- Must be able to move equipment, and properly handle tools
- Communicate effectively;
- Treat guests in a kind and courteous manner;
- Respond to request for service and assistance;
- Follow policies, procedures, and instructions;
- Use time efficiently;
This role pays $17.00 an hour. This is a part-time role and must have the flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Note: All shift times can vary depending on arena events and are not a set schedule.
