Click here to view the job classification specification. In this position, you will: Operate Point of Sale (POS), process financial transactions.
Greet residents and commercial haulers in a friendly and professional manner. Record all business transactions efficiently. Answer customer questions professionally, by phone or in person.
Multi-task various duties while working in the scale house. Communicate with external partners and vendors. Need to have: One of the following: One or more full-time equivalent years of office clerical experience.
Six months of office clerical experience and completion of the Office Specialist Pathway Training program. Note: Education may be substituted for experience on a semester (12 credits) basis.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and stand for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation. Nice to have: Experience with: Scale House Software Paradigm or CompuWeigh.
Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Access. Using call center systems. Providing customer service in person and by telephone.
Perform cash transactions or processing electronic payments.
Ability to: Work in a high-volume customer service center. Record all commercial hauler and citizen transactions in the county computer system Paradigm software.

Yes No 02 This position requires staff to work at multiple locations including the following sites: - Brooklyn Park Transfer Station (BPTS), 8100 Jefferson Hwy, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445. - South Hennepin Recycling and Problem Waste Drop-off Center, 1400 West 96th Street, Bloomington, MN 55431. - Hennepin Energy Recovery Center (HERC), 505 N 5th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401.
Public transportation is only available to the HERC facility. There is no public transportation to the other two locations. Candidates must be available to work various shifts, which include some early mornings, evenings and weekend hours.
