Appliance Equipment Mechanic (Dining/Laundry)

• Install, troubleshooting, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, including refrigeration units, washers/dryers, dish machines, ranges, fryers, steamers, mixers, and related systems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, system start‑ups, calibrations, and operational inspections to ensure equipment performance and safety.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using hand tools, test equipment, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications; repair or replace defective parts as needed.
• Inspect systems for leaks, overheating, vibration, electrical faults, and other operational concerns; trace circuits to identify shorts, grounds, or failed components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and requisitions; assist with inventory and ensure proper care, accountability, and use of tools and equipment.

• 3-5 years related experience and/or training in maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

• Valid State Driver’s license required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance company.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position.
