Since 1980, we’ve helped pioneer the world of biotech in our fight against the world’s toughest diseases. With our focus on four therapeutic areas –Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease– we reach millions of patients each year. Amgen is advancing a broad and deep pipeline of medicines to treat cancer, heart disease, inflammatory conditions, rare diseases, and obesity and obesity-related conditions.
As a member of the Amgen team, you’ll help make a lasting impact on the lives of patients as we research, manufacture, and deliver innovative medicines to help people live longer, fuller happier lives.
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will lead strategic communications for Amgen’s Artificial Intelligence and Data organization, helping shape how Amgen communicates the role of AI, data, and advanced technology in advancing our mission to serve patients.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, you will support Amgen’s Artificial Intelligence and Data organization and serve as a senior communications advisor to Artificial Intelligence and Data leaders. You will help translate the enterprise AI and Data narrative into integrated communications strategies, leadership materials, employee engagement plans, and external visibility opportunities that strengthen understanding, engagement, adoption, and awareness of Amgen’s AI and Data priorities.
This role will support the development and activation of the communications strategy for Amgen’s Artificial Intelligence and Data organization, working in close partnership with the Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, and AI and Data leaders to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, credible, and aligned with enterprise priorities.
The Director will develop and guide enterprise-level communications materials, thought leadership plans, internal campaigns, and change communications that connect AI and Data initiatives to Amgen’s business strategy, scientific leadership, operational priorities, and patient impact. The Director will partner closely with Corporate Affairs colleagues, Artificial Intelligence and Data leaders, technology teams, business partners, legal, compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure communications are coordinated and effective.
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The strategic communications leader we seek will meet or exceed these qualifications.
