Full job description

We are seeking a Sr. Associate Scientist to join our Neurotherapeutics research team, supporting R&D efforts to generate novel therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's Disease. In this role, you will conduct lab experiments and research studies that validate therapeutic targets and advance technologies for delivering therapeutics to the central nervous system, while collaborating closely with your research team.

When & where: Location: Tarrytown, NY Work model/flexibility: Onsite Discover your role: Conduct lab experiments and research studies to validate therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative diseases Establish new models of neurodegenerative diseases to support target discovery Screen preclinical therapeutic candidates to advance promising programs Advance technologies that more effectively deliver therapeutics to the central nervous system Perform in vivo experiments, including stereotaxic surgeries, brain injections, systemic injections, mouse handling, and blood/tissue collection Run biochemical and immunoassays such as immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, Western blotting, and ELISAs Analyze data using software such as HALO, PRISM, and Excel Thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying detail-oriented and organized while managing multiple tasks This role requires: BS with 3-6 years of laboratory research experience, or MS with 2-5 years Experience with in vivo experiments, including stereotaxic surgeries, brain injections, systemic injections, mouse handling, and blood/tissue collection Experience with biochemical and immunoassays (e.g., immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, Western blotting, ELISAs, tissue lysis and processing) Experience with data analysis software, including HALO, PRISM, and Excel Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well in a team Preferred: knowledge of Alzheimer's biology and a genuine passion for scientific research Does this sound like you?
