Full job description

State Street's Alternatives Product organization is seeking a highly motivated, AI-enabled content and marketing professional to support the growth, positioning, and commercialization of our global Alternatives business.

This role sits within the Alternatives Product team and serves as a strategic partner to Product Management, Sales, Client Coverage, and Marketing. The successful candidate will help bring our product strategy, capabilities, and differentiation to life through compelling content, visual storytelling, digital media, thought leadership, sales enablement materials, and client communications.

We are seeking an individual who combines exceptional writing and communication skills with creativity, business acumen, technical curiosity, and a strong understanding of alternative investments. The ideal candidate is AI-native, highly organized, intellectually curious, and capable of transforming complex investment servicing, technology, operational, and regulatory concepts into clear, impactful content for clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.

This is not a traditional proposal-writing role. While proposal and due diligence support will be part of the position, the primary focus is helping the Alternatives Product organization communicate, market, and commercialize its strategy, capabilities, and solutions.

- Partner with Alternatives Product leaders to develop and execute product marketing strategies and communications.

- Create compelling content that supports commercialization efforts across State Street's Alternatives platform.

- Translate complex product, technology, servicing, and operational capabilities into client-facing value propositions.

- Support product launches, strategic initiatives, and go-to-market activities.

- Develop messaging that clearly differentiates State Street in the alternatives marketplace.

- Create presentations, pitch books, sales collateral, client communications, white papers, articles, executive briefs, videos, and digital content.

- Develop thought leadership and market commentary on trends across alternative investments.

- Conduct industry and competitor research to inform content development.

- Build narratives tailored to asset managers, asset owners, wealth platforms, family offices, general partners, and institutional investors.

- Leverage generative AI tools to improve content quality, speed, scalability, and consistency.

- Use AI technologies to create written content, presentations, infographics, videos, digital media, and other marketing assets.

- Develop prompt frameworks and content workflows that improve productivity across the Product organization.

- Stay current on emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve marketing and content development processes.

- Design professional, executive-level presentations and visual communications.

- Develop infographics, process diagrams, workflows, charts, animations, and video content that simplify complex concepts.

- Produce content that effectively combines strong design principles with commercial messaging.

- Ensure consistency with State Street branding while introducing creative and innovative communication approaches.

- Develop executive summaries, value propositions, and customized pursuit materials.

- Coordinate with Product, Sales, Legal, Operations, and Technology teams to gather information and ensure accuracy.

- Maintain content repositories and reusable sales enablement materials.

Experience across alternative investment asset classes is highly important. The successful candidate should understand the evolving private markets and alternatives ecosystem and be able to communicate investment structures, fund operations, servicing models, investor requirements, and industry trends across these markets.

Buyout, growth equity, venture capital, co-investments, and related fund structures.

Direct lending, opportunistic credit, distressed credit, private debt, and credit fund servicing needs.

Closed-end and open-end real estate strategies, property-level and fund-level considerations.

Long-duration infrastructure funds, renewables, transportation, utilities, and related investment structures.

Liquid alternatives, multi-strategy structures, investor reporting, and operational requirements.

Look-through reporting, allocations, underlying manager data, and multi-layered investment structures.

LP-led and GP-led transactions, continuation vehicles, strip sales, and complex transfer mechanics.

Perpetual-life products, subscription/redemption mechanics, valuation cycles, and investor experience.

Retail and wealth-oriented alternative product structures and related distribution considerations.

Emerging structures, tokenization themes, digital investor servicing, and data-enabled ownership models.

- Strong presentation design and visual communication skills.

- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to create and enhance business content.

- Ability to simplify complex business, operational, investment, and technology concepts.

- Experience creating video, multimedia, and digital marketing content.

- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to embrace new technologies and ways of working.

- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong commercial mindset and understanding of how content supports business growth.

- Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

- ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, and other generative AI platforms.

- Content management, collaboration, and productivity applications.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Finance, Economics, Graphic Design, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in investment management, alternatives, financial services marketing, product marketing, sales enablement, consulting, or a related discipline.

- Experience supporting alternative investment managers, asset servicers, fund administrators, custodians, or fintech providers.

- Demonstrated portfolio of presentations, marketing campaigns, thought leadership, digital content, videos, or other creative business communications.

- Deep understanding of alternative investments and private markets.

- Proven ability to use AI to transform how content is developed and delivered.

- Ability to blend creativity, technology, and financial services expertise.

- Confidence interacting with senior executives and subject matter experts.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward innovation and continuous improvement.
