Director, Strategic Planning

The person selected for this role will support Sutter Health in the Bay Area. Candidate will go on site frequently for meetings and work. This is not a remote role and travel throughout Northern California will be a part of this role.

Minimum four days a week on site is expected.

EDUCATION: Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

- Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field

- Advanced knowledge of methods and techniques for strategic planning, business and product development, risk management and financing, marketing strategies and tactics, and communications planning within an integrated and highly matrixed environment. - Established knowledge of healthcare operations, physician group, ambulatory, and patient care financing. - Diverse and thorough knowledge of healthcare trends, industry direction, regulatory compliance, competitive intelligence, and market research with the ability to integrate the information into actionable strategic and long-range plans. - Established knowledge of the advanced managed care marketplace and strategies that promote enterprise-wide, integrated solutions for payers and plan sponsors. - Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations. - Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner. - Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as executives, managers, and subject matter experts. - Make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction. - Advanced knowledge of developing creative financial solutions and make projections using present and future values, loan computations, and annuity calculations. - Negotiate or exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.
