Field Survey Technician

- Commonly referred to a the "Instrument Man" in industry terms - Help locate and identify all relevant documentation and improvements required to provide the necessary amount of control to establish positional tolerance - Help maintain and operate all vehicle, surveying instruments, computers, and any other tool designed to help produce the surveys. - Help perform Elevation Bench Runs for the purpose of producing Elevation Certificates or to provide elevation when needed on survey. - Supervise and train Field Survey Tech, Assoc ("Rodman") in all aspects of land surveying. - Taking and delivering quality field notes that will enable the drafter and Surveyor to be able to produce an accurate survey. - Adjust and operate surveying instruments, such as the theodolite, total station and GPS receiver, and compile notes, make sketches and enter data into computers.

- Job specific training - Must have valid driver's with a clean DMV record - +75% of Travel Required

$21.24-$28.31/hour

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
