Primary
Responsibilities:

- Provide medical supervision of all MRI examinations at the MRI Departments within Atrius Health (e.g. Kenmore, Norwood, Weymouth, Concord, or Chelmsford) - Provide emergency medical treatment in the MRI Departments to patients who require such care - Remain in the immediate vicinity of the MRI unit at all times during their scheduled shift.

Check in with the MRI technologists upon arrival and before departure - Provide consultation to the technical staff regarding the use of contrast agents for specific MRI exams as specified in the current Atrius Health protocols and policies, with backup as needed from the AH radiologist - Provide, as requested, by either an Atrius Health MRI Technologist or a referring clinician, an initial evaluation of a MRI exam that may have questionable diagnostic findings, in consultation with an AH radiologist.

Consult with the referring clinician and/or the on-call Atrius Health radiologist on the patient's findings to determine the immediate best and safest plan of care. Any such discussions shall be documented in the Epic by the resident, so that the radiologist providing the official interpretation can review these - Obtain informed consent from any pregnant patient who chooses to undergo MRI, per Atrius Health policy - Administer IV Lasix for MR programs, per department policy

Required
Qualifications:

- The Service Provider cannot participate in this program until they have undergone an orientation to the MRI Department that he/she will be working at and have a full understanding of Atrius Health policies and procedures - Malpractice Insurance coverage - Signed Approval Letter from the Medical Physicians from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, or Other approved institution; and Certificate of Insurance - Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology - Unrestricted licensure in the state of Massachusetts - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred
Qualifications:

- Fellowship training in neuro, chest, pediatric, or abdominal imaging fellowship trained radiologists - Proven excellent clinical and communication skills

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $39.90 - $59.86 per hour. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
