At LPL Financial, we create opportunities for people to grow careers that reflect their initiative, curiosity, and impact. With access to modern technology, a collaborative culture, and the ability to influence meaningful outcomes, our teams help advisors deliver objective guidance to the clients who depend on them every day.

If you're interested in contributing to a large-scale cloud transformation, this is an opportunity to help shape cloud-native, omni-channel platforms that support employees, independent financial advisors, and their clients across the organization.

LPL Financial is seeking an AVP, Cloud Lead to join our Technology organization. Reporting to an Application Development Manager, this role works closely with business partners, architects, and engineering teams to design and deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions aligned with product roadmaps and LPL's long-term technology direction.

This role is well suited for a hands-on cloud engineering leader who enjoys working in complex environments, values partnership across teams, and contributes to building reliable, resilient platforms that support innovation and enterprise needs.

- Design and develop scalable, enterprise applications in cloud or hybrid-cloud environments

- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, deployment, and support

- Partner with architects and engineering teams to design solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and cloud practices

- Build and support reusable core platform components used across applications and services

- Participate in troubleshooting and technical issue resolution

- Review design proposals and offer recommendations to support scalability, performance, and reliability

- Contribute to conceptual designs and high-level effort estimates

- Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation

- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Release Management, and Change Control teams to support consistent and reliable delivery

- Experience designing and developing full-stack applications using C#, Angular (or comparable frameworks), and relational databases

- Experience designing and delivering solutions in cloud or hybrid-cloud environments

- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS or EKS, Fargate, VPC, S3, RDS or Aurora, DynamoDB, IAM, EC2, and Lambda

- Experience developing SQL for Oracle or PostgreSQL, including complex query design

- Experience contributing to software architecture and product-based application development

- Cloud development or engineering certification (AWS preferred)

- Familiarity with microservices architectures, API-driven systems, and event-streaming platforms (Kafka and/or StreamSets)

- Experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform

- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated delivery

- Experience guiding or mentoring engineers through technical leadership

- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and partner effectively across teams
