Full job description

We empower our Finance business partners through trusted, secure technology and focused delivery of strategic programs that drive business impact. Through AI-driven innovation and platform modernization, we're investing in our people's capabilities and building for what comes next. Our success is powered by engaged associates who grow their skills, elevate their craft, and build meaningful connections along the way.

As a Senior Product Manager, you don't wait to be pointed at problems - you find them, define them, and drive them to resolution. You bring a strategic lens to everything you own, anticipate organizational and technical risk before it surfaces, and communicate with the kind of clarity and conviction that moves audiences to action.

In this role, you'll serve as the primary product leader supporting Salesforce's FP&A organization, owning the technology strategy and delivery for financial planning platforms - with Workday Adaptive Planning and Agentic transformation at the center. You'll sit at the intersection of Finance, Engineering, and Data, translating complex business needs into clear, prioritized product roadmaps that deliver measurable impact.

- Own the full product lifecycle for FP&A Planning processes - from discovery and strategy through delivery and iteration, operating independently with at least a 1-year roadmap horizon

- Serve as the domain expert for FP&A processes and technology platforms, especially Workday Adaptive or equivalent planning systems

- Partner with Engineering, TPMs, and business stakeholders to scope, prioritize, and align - setting team goals and driving execution against them

- Define guardrails, escalation paths, and quality standards ensuring trust, accuracy, and consistency across all Finance technology products

- Get ahead of risks and blockers - identify misalignments early and resolve them before they require escalation

- Lead platform governance efforts - including roadmap reviews, release planning, and change management - to ensure stable, high-quality delivery

- Evaluate and influence the adoption of AI and automation capabilities (including Agentforce) within FP&A workflows, identifying where they add genuine value

- Define and track success metrics across the product lifecycle; communicate outcomes clearly to senior and executive stakeholders

- 7+ years in product management, with demonstrated ownership of complex product areas spanning Accounting and Reporting, Planning, Procurement, and Agentics/AI

- Proven ability to develop strategy and own milestones across several related projects with minimal oversight - including a 1-2 year prioritized roadmap

- Demonstrated independent decision-making: you define the problem, identify solutions, make principled tradeoffs, and drive to outcomes

- Strong anticipatory thinking: spots organizational friction and technical risk early, and resolves them without waiting to be asked

- Experience working with or building AI-driven / agentic products, with a strong intuition for where AI adds value vs. where it introduces risk

- Advanced storytelling and presentation skills - able to craft and deliver compelling narratives to senior and executive leadership that drive alignment and investment decisions

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adapts message and style to meet the needs of the audience - from engineering to C-suite

- Experience with the Workday Platform, Workday Adaptive Planning, or equivalent enterprise SaaS/ERP ecosystems

- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across a large number of cross-functional partners - without waiting for escalation paths to be defined for you

- Strong analytical mindset - comfortable defining success metrics, working with data and analytics teams, and using multiple data sources to make decisions

- Natural curiosity and a self-directed learning style - someone who reads, explores, and brings new ideas unprompted

- Familiarity with Salesforce's internal Finance systems, processes, or organizational structure

- Experience with enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Tableau, or similar) in a Finance context

- Built trusted, high-functioning relationships across FP&A business partners and key partner orgs (Engineering, Data, Finance Ops, and Accounting)

- Delivered at least one major platform initiative - such as a Workday Adaptive implementation, automated planning model, or AI-enabled workflow - from scoping through adoption

- Established and socialized a clear, 12-month product roadmap with measurable milestones and stakeholder buy-in

- Tracked and improved baseline performance metrics across all owned products, with at least one meaningful outcome to show for it

- Demonstrated impact through executive-level communications - including roadmap reviews, QBRs, or program updates - that drive alignment

- Earned a reputation as a go-to product thought leader within the IT Finance organization and broader Finance community

The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually.
