The Actuarial Executive Development Program (AEDP) at The Cigna Group is a premier early-career pathway designed to develop ambitious, analytically driven actuarial professionals into future business leaders.

Through meaningful work, rotational experiences, and strong exam and mentorship support, AEDP Associates build both technical depth and strategic perspective while making a real impact in healthcare.

- Deliver analytical insights that inform pricing, reserving, forecasting, and risk decisions across healthcare and pharmacy businesses.

- Translate complex data and actuarial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for business partners.

- Own meaningful projects end-to-end, from problem framing through execution and communication of results.

- Apply actuarial judgment to real-world business questions, balancing precision, risk, and practical decision-making.

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and actuarial peers to drive better outcomes for customers and the business.

- Continuously grow technical, business, and leadership capabilities through rotations, feedback, and formal development.

- 18-24-month rotations, aligned to personal development and business need

- Large community of actuarial members and program alumni committed to your success through mentorship, networking, and inclusion-based initiatives.

- Actuarial exam support includes paid exam fees, study materials, study time, and exam raises.

- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, data analytics, or a related field.

- 0-2 years of relevant actuarial, analytical, or quantitative experience (internships and co-ops included).

- Uses data to solve real-world problems, think through trade-offs, and connect analysis to business impact.

- Comfortable working with data and modern analytical tools, including strong Excel skills, and exposure to Python, R, SQL, AI-enabled tools, or other emerging technologies to support analysis and drive actionable insights.

- Shows an understanding of business and financial fundamentals, connects analysis to business impact, and is eager to learn how actuarial work supports decision-making.

- Communicates clearly, collaborates effectively, and works well across teams by listening actively and contributing thoughtfully.

- Demonstrates early leadership potential by taking ownership, thinking strategically, embracing innovation, and influencing outcomes in changing or ambiguous environments with a desire to grow into leadership roles

- Exposure to healthcare, insurance, or financial services environments is preferred.

- This position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.

- Location: This position is based in one of the following office locations: Austin, TX; Bloomfield, CT; Denver, CO; Franklin, TN; or Philadelphia, PA.

- Work Schedule: Hybrid workplace: A collaborative on-site work environment with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week. All associates are encouraged to come into the office regularly for collaboration, connection and networking opportunities.

- Recruitment Process : The recruitment process is all conducted via live video including a screen with a recruiter, a first round interview, and a final round consisting of multiple interviews with actuarial leadership.

Requirements: Selected candidates will be required to complete mandatory pre-employment tasks approximately 45 days prior to the program start date. Completion of the drug test requires availability within the United States during this timeframe.

- Work Authorization : This position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 75,000 - 125,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
