Job Description Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC Senior Software Engineer Job Description: Senior Software Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Austin, Texas). Work with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions.

Recommend viable solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt. Foresee capacity requirements for component usage and identify limitations. Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.

Contribute to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems. Build software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders. Understand technical architecture and write software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards.

Perform trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary. Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products. Actively work with less-experienced software engineers providing technical guidance and oversight.

Actively participate in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization. Minimum

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years of experience in designing, coding, testing, correcting, and documenting programs and scripts from agreed specifications, and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools. Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following: Designing, developing, and implementing of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems.

In lieu of a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and experience or graduate-level coursework as stated.

Must have experience or graduate-level coursework in the following: Ensuring adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards or practices; Conducting reviews of own work and leading reviews of colleagues' work; Establishing standards and procedures across the technology service lifecycle (including the development lifecycle) in the areas of systems integration and testing and ensuring adherence; Managing application enhancements to improve business performance; Creating applications from conception and design to implementation and support; Managing web hosted applications using a modern cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP); Working with Agile application development practices; and Analyzing data and working with SQL and relational databases Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

Compensation includes a base salary of $151,439 - $174,387. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
