Responsibilities

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced CSA Estimator to support a high-profile client's large-scale, multi-building data center campus programs. The role focuses on developing civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) estimates for complex core-and-shell facilities and supporting project teams throughout planning, design, and preconstruction.

This position requires strong estimating skills, the ability to work effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments, and experience supporting large capital construction projects and programs.

Candidates for this role must be physically based in the United States and legally authorized to work in the U.S. Remote work is permitted only from within the United States; candidates located outside the U.S. cannot be considered for remote employment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain cost plans and detailed estimates from concept through detailed design across multiple geographies; participate in estimate reviews with internal and external teams.
  • Prepare milestone cost updates (concept, schematic, DD, CD) and communicate basis of estimate, assumptions, inclusions/exclusions, and risks.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and cost checks for CSA scopes; ensure alignment between scope, drawings/models, and estimate.
  • Support program-level estimating efforts by compiling and analyzing cost data across multiple projects and campuses.
  • Review contractor pricing, including bids, pay applications, and change orders; perform analyses and support recommendations.
  • Contribute to benchmarking and cost modeling efforts; maintain historical cost data and support life-cycle cost (LCC) analyses.
  • Support value engineering (VE) exercises and assist with feasibility studies and early-stage cost modeling.
  • Assist procurement and preconstruction activities, including prequalification, bid analysis, tender reporting, and contract documentation.
  • Collaborate with cost management, procurement, and project controls teams to align estimating outputs with budgets and project objectives.
  • Evaluate design changes and prepare estimate updates at appropriate stages of design development.
  • Support development of estimating templates, tools, and best practices.
  • Prepare cost and estimating reports and presentation materials for project stakeholders and clients.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role and must be adhered to where applicable.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related construction field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Controls professional.
  • Experience supporting conceptual estimating and/or preconstruction services within a construction management, contractor, consulting, or related environment.
  • Experience supporting large-scale construction projects; data center, mission-critical, industrial, or commercial project experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of construction industry concepts, including value management and value engineering.
  • Proficiency with estimating systems, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
