Software Engineer Lead (Java Fullstack Development)

As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's C&IB organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.

Expertise: - Strong hands-on design and development experience with Java and Spring, banking/payments background is preferred - Solid understanding of software architecture and microservices - Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes is required - Experience designing and developing solutions using Kafka, MQ and REST APIs - Proficiency in database design and optimization, including Mongo DB and Oracle DB - Experience in DevOps CI/CD and Jenkins build/deploys - JavaScript and Angular experience is a plus - Experience using Eclipse, IntelliJ, Gradle, Maven.

Recommended/ Desired Skills: - Experience working with Elastic-Search and Redis is a plus. - Strong knowledge of performance tuning, application security, and scalability best practices. - Experience with Agile software development methodology

- Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions. - Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required. - Facilitates complex problem resolution. - Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software. - Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
