Full job description

- Maintains the firm's docket system for litigation lawyers practicing in multiple courts and jurisdictions

- Obtains filing information from court clerks and online dockets

- Identifies pertinent deadlines and prepares master calendar of due dates for distribution to lawyers and staff

- Research questions from attorneys, paralegals and/or secretaries regarding deadlines, calculations of deadlines, local rules, etc.

- Responds to requests regarding calendared events, pleadings, and court procedures and modifications to compliance dates on the docket calendar.

- High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.

- At least one year of relevant litigation calendaring/docketing experience desired, preferably in a large law firm.

- An understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures and familiarity with court filings and general rules of court for processing pleadings at the federal, state, and county level strongly preferred.

- Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail.

- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software programs. CompuLaw or comparable docketing software a plus.

- Income protection, including sick leave, salary continuation, and long term disability.

For positions in Orange County, CA, Century City, CA, and Los Angeles, CA the salary range for this position is: $57,900.00- $92,550.00.

For positions in Seattle, WA, the salary range for this position is: $55,500.00 - $88,800.00

For positions in San Francisco, CA and Silicon Valley, CA, the salary range for this position is: $60,190.00 - $96,265.00

The base salary wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The foregoing salary range applies only to the specific available position advertised herein.

The total compensation package for this position will also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and policies then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in: a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, business travel accident insurance plans, and health savings and flexible spending accounts for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and policies then in effect, eligible employees may utilize the Employee Assistance Program, Work/Life Services, Health Advocate, Bright Horizons Back-Up Child Care, and WageWorks Commuter Benefits for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents. Employees will also receive: 9 paid holidays per calendar year, 2 personal days per year, and up to 20 days of vacation per year.

In accordance with state applicable law, eligible employees will earn 1 paid sick leave hour for 30 hours worked. Eligible employees may also take up to five days off for bereavement leave, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave per year and up to 10 weeks of paid pregnancy disability leave per pregnancy. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
