Shift: 72 hours every two weeks

Steady Nights 7pm to 7am

Rotation with rotating weekends and holiday per policy

THE UNIT:

The Allegheny General 9C Telemetry Unit is a 30 bed unit providing specialized care for a diverse patient population. The unit focuses heavily on the care of patients with neuroscience needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, epilepsy, seizure disorders, MS exacerbations, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and a history of stroke. In addition to the neuroscience focus, the unit also provide care for general medicine and medical trauma patients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning skills.
  • Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
  • Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
  • Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
  • Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture and willingness to learn.
Minimum
  • Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • CPR certification
Minimum one year RN experience
  • 1st preference to employee on current night schedule on unit
2nd preference to employee on current unit Additional Employment Requirements:
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • CPR certification
