Full job description

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to: Adheres to WE CARE values when interacting with patients and colleagues to help improve patient satisfaction scores and colleague morale. Supervise day-to-day operations of the department. Assigns and check the work of employees as needed.

Assures cleanliness and neat appearance of all assigned areas. Conduct Black Light inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met. Identify areas with hospital needing deep cleaning, may schedule project cleaning tasks.

Operate Solaris UV equipment. Communicate effectively with department leaders across the hospital and collaborate to solve problems in a timely manner. Use EPIC to keep the flow of Service Associates for discharge clearing.

Report any equipment maintenance needs or malfunctions immediately. Communicate and work with all vendors of the department. Interact with all individuals in a consistent manner, providing attention, support and assistance to foster an environment of exceptional personal service.

Maintains pleasant and helpful demeanor, present a professional appearance towards all internal and external customers. Initiate interactions to aid individuals who may be lost, ask if they need assistance in finding their way. Take appropriate action to recover from a service difficulty, ensure all necessary steps are taken to affect a resolution to the customer's problem.

Conduct all work activities with respect for coworkers. Maintain pleasant and professional environment, fostering calmness during stressful situations. Work in manner that champions safe conditions, promotes ethical behavior and minimizes hazards in the work environment.

Assist in placing linen orders or managing linen usage as assigned. Prepare employee work schedules. Operate floor machines and apply floor finish as needed.

Inventory storage rooms and assist in moves/conference room set-ups as assigned. Assist in training new employees and orientating new hires. Participate in the interview process with potential new candidates.

Prepare and conduct performance reviews with competencies for all assigned employees. Work with HR to ensure employees are following our policies and procedures. Work with HR to address any employee issues.

Comply with all safety policies and procedures. Able to reach, bend, stoop, push or pull up to 35 pounds. Respond to pager in a timely manner (5 minutes) and respond to all emergencies as needed or requested.

Function as a Service Associate, Linen Associate and Operating Room Tech as needed. Able to demonstrate knowledge of the safe usage of cleaning agents and equipment. Completes all assigned training.

Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities may differ among locations, depending on hospital necessities, department requirements and applicable industry standards.

Qualifications/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of experience as a Service Associate or similar experience in Environment Services required. Prior experience as Lead Service Associate preferred.

Proficiency in English required, Bi-lingual a plus. Pay Range: $23.00 - $30.95 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.

Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
