Full job description

Key Responsibilities Doughnut Production Produce doughnuts that meet Krispy Kreme quality, appearance, and freshness standards. Prepare dough, glaze, fillings, icings, brews, and other ingredients using approved recipes and formulas. Follow production schedules and projections to ensure product availability while minimizing waste.

Monitor product quality throughout the production process. Package and stage products for processing, display, and distribution as needed. Maintain proper product rotation and freshness standards.

Equipment Operation Safely operate production equipment including proofers, fryers, glazers, mixers, processing equipment, fillers, icing machines, and related production tools. Follow all operating procedures and equipment safety requirements. Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment issues to management.

Maintain equipment cleanliness and operational readiness. Food Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Maintain compliance with Krispy Kreme operational standards and procedures.

Utilize proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation procedures. Complete required production logs and operational documentation. Maintain excellent personal hygiene and food safety practices.

Shop Operations & Team Support Support production needs for all shifts and business demands. Work collaboratively with production, retail, sanitation, and leadership teams. Assist with inventory organization, product staging, and supply replenishment.

Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude. Support training initiatives and continuous operational improvement. Perform other duties as assigned.

Cleaning & Sanitation Practice "clean as you go" procedures throughout the shift. Clean and sanitize production equipment, workstations, racks, utensils, and production areas. Sweep and mop floors, remove trash, and maintain a clean work environment.

Follow all sanitation schedules and cleaning procedures. Perform any other cleaning or side work tasks assigned by management. Physical Activity Standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and grasping.

Writing, reading labels, production schedules, and operational logs. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects. Communicating with team members and management.

Operating production equipment and shop technology. Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods during the work shift. Lifting and carrying ranges: 0-10 lbs: Frequent 11-25 lbs: Frequent 26-50 lbs: Frequent 51-75 lbs: Occasional with assistance Frequent lifting of ingredient bags, dough containers, racks, trays, and production supplies.

Pushing and pulling approximately 10-40 lbs of force occasionally. Frequent use of hands for mixing, glazing, processing, packaging, cleaning, and equipment operation. Work Environment Work performed primarily in shop production and processing areas.

Exposure to production equipment including proofers, fryers, glazers, fillers, mixers, and processing machinery. Exposure to heat, noise, wet or slippery surfaces, flour dust, oils, and cleaning chemicals. Production areas may experience elevated temperatures during periods of active doughnut production.

Fast-paced environment with variable schedules including early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Cognitive Demands (ADA/FEHA-Compliant) Ability to follow detailed recipes, formulas, and production procedures. Ability to maintain attention to detail and product quality standards.

Ability to manage multiple production tasks simultaneously. Ability to identify and correct quality issues. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements Previous food production, bakery, manufacturing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Basic math skills required. Ability to read, write, and identify numbers.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to safely operate production equipment and follow safety procedures. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
