- Design original prints, yarn dyes, embroideries, and embellishments for multiple apparel brands.
- Research and apply current and upcoming trends in women's apparel to your designs.
- Develop CAD artwork and color stories, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand strategy.
- Maintain and organize CAD files, color references, and development packages in PLM systems.
- Provide technical color expertise, using tools like Color Spectrophotometer to ensure consistency and quality.
- Initiate lab dip requests and manage color submissions, collaborating with production partners.
- Identify and resolve material and color challenges, ensuring best practices in color management.
- Collaborate with design and merchant teams, sharing creative ideas and feedback in development meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in apparel print and textile design, with a strong portfolio showcasing original work.
- Proficiency in NedGraphics Design or similar textile design software, plus Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong artistic, conceptual, and color sense, with the ability to differentiate the color spectrum.
- Experience with PLM systems and technical color management is a plus.
