L3Harris Communications & Spectrum Dominiance (CSD) seeks a Systems Engineer / Architect in the Czech Republic supporting the Czech MoD. The Systems Engineer will be the primary technical contact to the customer for modernizing their defense communications systems utilizing L3Harris Mission Critical Communications (MCC) Products. This role is pivotal for ensuring the operational integrity of the radio products as they are deployed within their tactical command structure and integrated into various platforms. The Systems Architect will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams both internally and with the Czech MoD, acting as a key member of design, integration, testing, fielding, and maintenance efforts. Position will be based in Prague Czech Republic, the position demands regional travel. This role is scoped for 2 years, with potential to extend to a 3rd year.

Essential Functions:
  • Support Technical Discussions: Assist/Lead technical discussions with customers developing systems solutions based on L3Harris Radio and modern MANET Waveforms. Establish and maintain working relationships as a technical resource with the customer.
  • Develop System Architectures: Facilitate the development of comprehensive system architectures to meet customer-specific requirements for C4ISR systems, ensuring deployment over various radio frequencies for voice and data applications.
  • Assist in System Integration: Provide support during the design and integration of L3Harris products with third-party systems, including intercom systems, electronics, software applications, and power systems.
  • Support Physical Integration: Assist with the physical integration of L3Harris products into various platforms such as land vehicles, shelters, fixed sites, ships, aircraft, and UAVs.
  • Prepare Documentation: Prepare white papers and presentations and assist in presenting custom systems solutions to customers.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with Technical Field Service, Sales, Program, and Project Management to translate customer requirements into balanced technical, schedule, and cost solutions.
  • Coordination of Schedules / Resources: Participate in planning and coordination meetings with the customer and facilitate proper resources availability when required.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time within region to support customer meetings, integration events, and training efforts, etc.
Qualifications:
  • BSEE/BSME/BSCE/BSSE and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 6 years of demonstrated experience in Systems Level Design and Integration around relevant technologies.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret and NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Competency with RF Propagation, RF Co-Site, RF Colocation
  • Deployment
  • Understand the fundamentals of IP Networking
  • Knowledge of Multi-Level Security (MLS), cross-domain networks, and Federated Mission Networking (FMN) Framework Process for net-centric operations.
  • Experience demonstrated in Systems Design and Systems Integration with relevant technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $92,500 to $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
