Full job description

Registered Nurse PreOp at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

· Under the direct supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, Clinical Nurse Manager and Team Coordinator / Charge Nurse, the nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety comfort, and privacy at all times for Baylor Scott &White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott &White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center.

Qualifications Education:

· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
  • Current Texas RN License
  • Current BLS, must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire
Required Experience:
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of the patient
  • Demonstrates discretionary ability in establishing priority.
  • Uses nursing judgment in decision-making
  • Able to recognize and intervene in stressful situations and perform effectively in stressful situations to fulfill position responsibilities.
