Please review the following job description:
  • Customize coding, software integration, perform analysis, and configure solutions, using tools that are pertinent/required for the area to which the person is assigned.
  • Provide escalated support for applications in production.
  • Work independently on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
  • Provide direction in the development and maintenance of solutions as well as participates in various phases of the development life cycle.
  • Work under moderate supervision to analyze possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents to solve a range of straightforward problems.
  • In an Agile environment: Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and consulting with, the business from the beginning of the design work. Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design. Actively participate in refining user stories.
  • Responsible for development and developing robust unit testing and supporting integration and functional testing for technically complex solutions.
  • Consult and partner with the business product owners to understand the end goal and offer solutions and recommendations during the design.
  • Responsible for providing support and issue resolution for performance and load testing of client facing applications.
  • Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.
  • Lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger, more complex initiatives.
  • Solve complex technical and operational problems. Act as a resource for teammates.
  • Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly.
  • Engage with the business from the beginning of the design work.
  • Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design. Actively participate in refining user stories.
  • Responsible for providing automated monitoring capabilities, providing warranty support, and providing knowledge transfer to production support.
Requirements
  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Must have 4 years of experience in software engineering positions or IT consulting positions performing/utilizing the following:
  • Applying in-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices.
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
  • Planning and managing projects and solving complex problems by applying best practices.
  • Providing direction and mentoring less experienced teammates.
  • Utilizing experience with: Java, JavaScript, Python, Jenkins, GitLab, Selenium, Appium, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, Postman, and SOAP UI.
