- Prepare and record journal entries and perform account reconciliations to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting schedules for assigned corporate balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
- Support accounting and reporting for fixed assets, leases, debt, equity transactions, payroll and bonus accruals, contingent liabilities, and other corporate accounting activities.
- Assist with accounting for acquisitions, including purchase accounting entries and post-acquisition balance sheet integration.
- Prepare financial analyses and reconciliations to support management reporting, audits, and external financial reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal, and Operations, to ensure accurate and timely accounting.
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase the efficiency of the month-end close process.
- Participate in special projects, system implementations, and other corporate finance initiatives as assigned.
- Perform other accounting and financial reporting duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 1-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting or corporate accounting experience preferred.
- Healthcare or multi-entity organization experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Knowledge of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Experience with ERP and financial management systems (NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Analytics, and Leasequery a plus)
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location healthcare environment.
