As a Delivery Driver, you will transport all product lines of contract office furniture to customers in a timely and professional manner. The Delivery Driver is responsible for loading, unloading, verifying orders, and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with all traffic and company safety regulations.

  • Safely operating company vehicles to pick up, transport and deliver products to clients, job sites or warehouses.
  • Loading and unloading items, ensuring products are handled with care and accuracy.
  • Verifying delivery information and obtaining customer signatures or proof of delivery.
  • Providing excellent customer service by always maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle and promptly reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Following assigned delivery routes and schedules, adapting to delays or changes when necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate delivery logs, mileage records and fuel receipts.
  • Adhering to company policies, DOT regulations and all traffic laws.
  • Assisting with warehouse duties (as needed) such as organizing inventory and staging deliveries.
  • 2 years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related role preferred.

Ability to respond to complex inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management in client organizations, public groups, and other outside entities.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to lift, bend, carry, push and pull heavy items safely.

Ability to sit for extended periods while driving. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The physical environment is consistent with most professional service organizations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Frequent driving, loading and unloading in various weather conditions.

May require early mornings, evenings, weekends or overtime depending on delivery schedules.
