Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary: Our office in Lakewood, CO is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to help lead and grow our dynamic team. We specialize in the design of commercial buildings including schools, healthcare, police and fire stations, office buildings, worship spaces, industrial facilities, petrochemical control buildings, luxury resorts, and more.

Our design professionals support projects all over the US and Canada and integrate with multi-discipline engineering teams on a wide array of projects. This is an opportunity to drive and expand an energetic team and learn from professionals with many years of experience.

• Interact with clients regarding technical design issues, coordination of document preparation, and submittal schedules

• Oversee production of engineering documents such as reports, calculations, 3D models and drawings that are complete and technically accurate

• Utilize and train others in design software such as RISA, RAM, Concept, Bluebeam, and REVIT to produce construction drawings

Qualifications and Experience: Successful candidates will possess the following:

• 10+ years of experience in consulting structural engineering with commercial building focus

• 5+ years of experience in a management role overseeing similar breadth and depth of structural engineering services offered by Salas O’Brien

• The desire to work towards the Company's goal of excellent and timely service.

• Experience in the following commercial building construction systems is required:

• ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil or Structural Engineering

The expected base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
