This position is for a Staff Systems Engineer. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. The position will primarily support the operations for a software system.
- Provide technical direction and requirement transparency across development teams
- Performing requirements management including requirements creation, tracking, flow down, coverage, verification tracking, compliance matrices, etc.
- Developing test procedures to formally verify system requirements for sell off events
- Decomposing system requirements and collaborating with multi-disciplined, distributed teams to generate efficient and scalable solutions
- Supporting the development, implementation, and verification of mission capabilities
- Participating in the development and execution of program milestones events such as Customer meetings, internal and formal Government testing events, and discrepancy report (DR) review boards
- Conducting testing events of software solutions and generating Test result documentation
- Supporting operations of software with tasks such as enterprise test events and user integration and onboarding
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, IT, or related engineering field
- At least 5 years of professional experience working in software development or systems engineering
- Effective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well in a small team, fast paced environment
- Ability to develop test procedures that verify requirements
- Ability to develop tracing between requirements, code, and verification
- Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Current IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CISSP, or CASP)
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with virtual teams
- Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD
- Experience with using automated tests to sell off formal requirement verification
- Experience with government Site Acceptance process and procedures
- Experience in working with software-defined interfaces that use either XML or JSON to both document and implement
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs
- Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engage with virtual teams
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs
- Experience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality
- Experience developing a software architect using digital tools
