SAP NS2 Senior Technology Consultant - Developer TS/SCI + CI Poly Chantilly, VA

SAPNS2 is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of Data Modeler/Developer in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate works well with a team and has experience working with large datasets, creating data visualizations, and has participated in the full product (e.g., dashboard) development cycle (e.g., requirements, design, development, etc.

As a Modeler/Developer you will work closely with customer end users, functional consultants and other developers to translate current processes into requirements for configuration and development of new functionality

- Develop dimensional and transactional calculated views in SAP HANA

- Evaluate source data systems for variances, anomalies, and efficiency

- Create reusable data models and calculated views that scale across the enterprise

- Collaborate with data owners and data scientists to understand relationships in enterprise source data

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, JavaScript, and ABAP within SAP and non-SAP environments.

- Build and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) views, data models, and integrations to support analytical and transactional applications.

- Participate in end-to-end software development lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, estimating, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and support.

- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical designs.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects across multiple layers of the stack.

- Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and continuous improvement of development processes and standards.

- Assist in integrations between SAP and other enterprise systems using modern APIs, services, and data interfaces.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and specifications.

- Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and development practices applicable to the SAP ecosystem and broader application landscape.

- 3-7 years of hands-on development experience (or equivalent) across multiple technologies.

- Java (backend services, APIs, object-oriented programming)

- ABAP development (reports, enhancements, OData services, debugging)

- SAP CDS Views (data modeling, annotations, performance optimization)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and in teams.

- Experience with SAP HANA development and extensibility frameworks.

- Exposure to cloud environments (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Understanding of DevOps practices and automated testing frameworks.

- Knowledge of database performance tuning and data provisioning.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field-OR equivalent hands-on experience.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role.

The targeted annual combined range for this position is 107300-230600USD . The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
