Civil Engineer Minimum Qualifications Required. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or closely related field.

Special Requirements. Must possess a valid Class D Arizona Driver's License by hire or promotion date. Preferred/Desirable Qualifications.

Some (6 months - 1 year) civil engineering experience is desirable. Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is also desirable. Senior Civil Engineer Minimum Qualifications Required.

Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer. Special Requirements. Must possess a valid Class D Arizona Driver's License by hire or promotion date (by assignment).

Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Arizona is required within six months of hire. Substance Abuse Testing. Due to the safety and/or security sensitive nature of this classification, individuals shall be subject to pre-employment or pre-placement alcohol, drug and/or controlled substance testing as outlined in City policy and procedures (by assignment).

Preferred/Desirable Qualifications. Six months of supervisory experience preferred.
