Senior Full Stack Engineer, Hazel AI

Hazel is building the AI engine for wealth management that helps unlock 10x growth, efficiency and value for financial advisors and their clients in a regulated industry. Since its launch last September, Hazel has organically and rapidly grown its user base.

Hazel is a part of Altruist's broader mission to make financial advice better, more affordable, and accessible to all.

We recently launched hazel.ai , an AI assistant that has ~10x'd users in one month and are excited to hire a Sr. Full Stack Engineer to build out an improved customer onboarding experience and AI financial planning features.

This role is hybrid, with four in-office days per week at our San Francisco FiDi location.

- Deeply understand the industry, the opportunity and our users

- Interact with them and learn about their needs and frustrations

- Design and execution - Build easy-to-use and robust systems across the frontend and backend that bring our vision to life

- Relentless - Proactively identify, unblock and mitigate risks that can minimize our chance of timely success

- Leadership - Act as a leader and steward of engineering best practices, mentoring other engineers towards maximizing impact

- Curiosity - Stay ahead of the curve with latest developments in machine learning, AI and how it can be leveraged to build industry leading products

- Experience - 4+ years of software engineering experience building customer/consumer-facing web applications with best engineering practices

- 1+ years full stack engineering experience designing and developing key product features from UI to backend services

- Education - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science or similar Engineering/Mathematics degrees

- Technical aptitude - You're technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (We use React.js, Typescript, GraphQL, Python, Microservices, AWS)
